North Rose Hill Kirkland Walk - Jane's Walks Weekend

Join us as we discover the assets and possibilities of these neighborhoods as they begin updating their neighborhood plans for the first time in 25 years. We'll explore open spaces, amenities, community gathering spaces, and opportunities for re-development.

This walk is great for people of all ages and abilities with only a few curb step-ups and terrain that is mostly gradual downhill. Expect a common walking pace of about 3 mph. Return transportation is available for many points along the walk via Metro Transit Route 238.

The North and South walks will overlap so that both include the NE 85th Street Corridor. If you choose to participate in both walks, the combined route will be 7.8 miles (4.5 hours).

For the North Rose Hill walk (4.5 miles, 2.5 hours): Meet at Rose Hill Elementary School. We will leave at 11am. After the North Rose Hill walk, you may return to your origin (route 238 will return you by 1:30pm), or join us for lunch in the commercial village at the north edge of Rose Hill and return to your origin at your leisure.
